Meal Planning and Grocery Shopping
Daniel and I have enjoyed listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio for quite some time now and this January I decided to try Dave Ramsey's e-mealz plan. This went along with one of my New Years goals to be more organized with my grocery budget and meal planning! So far I am loving it. It has saved me a ton of time, stress and money. The menu's and grocery lists are posted for printout every Wednesday and I love that since I like to grocery shop early on Friday mornings before Daniel heads to Roanoke for work. It is a great time to shop because the stores are nearly empty that early in the morning. I have to thank my dear friend Alison Semones for giving me that tip! I can easily make it back to the house within 45 minutes since I am not waiting in line and don't take any little ones with me. I have developed a huge dislike of going to Walmart lately so I do almost all of my grocery shopping at Kroger and buy my cleaning products, diapers and other household items at Target. My goal for this year is to clean out my fridge on Thursday so that I have room for what I buy.... fridge space is always at a premium with 6 family members! Dave Ramsey's e-mealz have many different options for different sized families. We are doing the "Low carb 6 person plan" since Daniel is trying to lose weight via the "South Beach Diet". If you decide to check it out and end up signing up for e-mealz, please mention that you heard about it from me! I still make some of my own favorite recipes, but with e-mealz it is easy to just cross off the meals I don't want to make. Speaking of meals...It is time for me to get off my blog and make one for my family!

Cool! Great post! I love meal-planning! It's so hard when you don't have a "plan" for dinner every day!
Wanted to stop by and say hey! You have such a beautiful family! Hope your week is going well!

Your family is beautiful, and so are you! Keep doing an amazing job with your children and home. It is encouraging to see young families so in love with each other and obedient to the Lord. Keep the faith!!
